The More You Know

Please Note: Per Chapter 493 of FL Statutes, the agent must — within 5 days — notify the debtor that their vehicle was repossessed and how to get their personal property. Not less than 45 days before the final disposition of the personal property that was in the vehicle, the agent must notify the debtor in writing via Certified or accountable mail. There is no requirement to mail Certified or via Accountable Mail for the 5 day notice.
